The 2013 Ford Escape is a farcry from the boxy vehicle we’ve gotten used to over the years.  Ford did bringing a lot of what we loved about the Vertrek concept to fruition in the 2013 Escape and I think it actually works in small crossover utility form.

The Escape has a history of being underpowered – to say the least. Thankfully, under the hood the new Escape has your choice of a new high gas mileage 168hp (167 lb-ft torque) 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine, a 173 hp (177 lb-ft torque) 1.6 liter EcoBoost powerplant or the 237 hp (250 lb-ft torque) 2.0 liter EcoBoost – I’d go with option #3. The Escape also has an all new intelligent all-wheel drive system, features like active park-assist, a panoramic sunroof and a hands-free liftgate along with a revamped MyFord Touch infotainment system.
