‘Kony 2012’ Guy Was Arrested for Being Drunk and Masturbating in Public & There’s Video…
As if we didn’t already have enough questions about this whole Kony 2012 thing… Besides the organizations;
- Poor spending practices – they spend more on transportation, compensation and film-making then they do on directive services
- Support of military action – because we definitely need to be starting another war…
- And because we definitely know how well our interventions worked in Iraq and Afganistan…
- Nee-Colonialism – the whole campaign paints Ugandans as helpless victims who can only be saved by white hipster American activists
- Simplifies the issue – will killing or arresting Kony change anything in Uganda, NO
We now have this via NBC San Diego:
A co-founder for Invisible Children was detained in Pacific Beach Thursday night for being drunk in public and masturbating, according to San Diego Police Department. Jason Russell, 33, was allegedly found masturbating in public, vandalizing cars and possibly under the influence of something, according to Lt. Andra Brown. He was detained at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Riviera Road. Brown said Russell was acting very strange. Police said they received several calls yesterday at 11:30 a.m. of a man in various stages of undress, running through traffic and screaming. Police described him as “in his underwear.”Several people attempted to calm him down and when officers arrived they said he was cooperative.
via TMZ:
Sources tell us … Russell was dancing around the Intersection of Ingraham and Riviera wearing “speedo-like underwear” … and eventually removed the underwear and began to make sexual gestures.
Law enforcement sources tell us … Russell is being hospitalized on a 5150 psychiatric hold so authorities can assess his mental state. The 5150 hold allows authorities to keep Russell for up to 3 days to determine if he represents a threat to either himself or others.
Via TMZ comes video footage of Jason Russell’s drunken meltdown. Remember he’s 33 with kids.
