TOKYObay Agent Watch | Review
Budget watches don’t have to be borring, nor do they have to be digital. TOKYObay has a great lineup of men’s timepieces that offer clean lines and stylish looks at very affordable prices.
Tokyo Bay recently sent over their Agent model watch ($162) in black for me to review. Here’s what I thought:
The Tokyo Bay Agent watch is a very solid looking timepiece, its 44mm wide and constructed from solid stainless steel with a brushed finish and comes paired to a buffalo leather strap. The watch has a large crown that makes setting the watch a breeze. The watch also features a set of heavy duty screw pins which add to the burly look and makes swapping bracelets very easy.
The watch makes for a very versatile timepiece that can quite easily be worn with either a dress shirt or a tee. The buffalo band is actually quite nice, very pliable and very comfortable to wear – a great bracelet for the price-point.
As you might expect for the price-point this is a battery operated timepiece and the mechanism was accurate to within just a few second over my two week test period. Unfortunately, for those of us whom love lum, only the hour and minute hand have lumed paint. The time markers do not glow. It’s slightly disappointing but for the price-point and for the watches intended purpose – dress to casual wear, not necessarily sport and definitely not diving – it’s understandable.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the Tokyo Bay Agent watch. The case is fantastic and offers very clean lines that allow the watch to easily be worn in fairly dressy settings – without setting you back a grand. For those of you looking for a versatile watch that can be worn in almost any setting at a very reasonable price, I would definitely give Tokyo Bay a look. More views of the Agent below:
