Microsoft’s energy-conscious Hohm project used be a bit of a hassle because it required a ton of data input, but now the webapp uses property records, geo-data, and other information sources to quickly suggest energy saving methods applicable to your home.

Enter in your specific address and Hohm will pull up when your house was built, how many bedrooms and square feet it has, and a whole lot more. You can fill out and fix anything it doesn’t know or gets wrong in the process of grabbing your info and Hohm will do an even better job of analyzing your estimated heating, cooling, and power costs.

Once the system has your info, Hohm gives you nice step-by-step breakdown of where you can save money around your house.  Plenty of videos help guide you through the steps required to install a new thermostat, fortify your insulation, and more. It’s a free and a nice way to look at where you can save some dough and some energy.
