Wenger Canyoneer Boot

Winter’s in full swing and if your current boots aren’t cutting through the cold or wet it might be time for an upgrade.  The Wenger Canyoneer boot ($120) features a full grain leather upper and a Hypergrip articulating outsole with a lightweight cushioning midsole.  The boots go through an OutDry lamination process which allows the boots to shed water with ease and leaves your feet warm and dry.

The Hypergrip system works as advertised and allows the front and rear sole to move independently which helped me keep a firm grip when the terrain got steep and technical.  The OutDry system also worked well and my feet stayed warm and dry after 8 hours of high altitude hiking in wet snow.

Overall a great pair of boots for all around use that won’t break the bank.
