Radian — A Budget Time-Lapse Photography Device | Kickstarter
Oh boy, did I get excited when I stumbled across this. California based Alpine Laboratories developed a device called Radian that promises to bring affordable time-lapse motion cinematography to the masses.
The simple looking white round block features a threaded mounting stud up top for your camera and a threaded hole at the bottom to attach it either vertically or horizontally on a tripod. Via a free iPhone or Android app you can program the device with real-time calculations for settings like pan or tilt, span, duration, start/stop times and number of frames within a shot. It’s compatible with digital SLRs or any camera with a trigger release, as well as you Android phone or iPhone camera. The Radian is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. Couldn’t help but to back this one myself, can’t wait!
