Say hello to Nikon’s freshest flagship professional camera, the D4. The official drop date was supposed to be tomorrow but French magazine Réponses Photo spilled the beans today.

Some confirmed details on the camera: 16 megapixels, ISO 100-12800 (expandable to 50-204800), 51 autofocus points, 100% viewfinder coverage, 10-12fps, 91000 point metering system, 1080p video recording, CF/XQD card slots, 1.34kg weight, and a price of €5,800 (~$7,400 USD).

While few of us will ever touch the Nikon D4 it’s always fun to see what kind of technology we can expect to trickle down in to our prosumer and consumer cameras in the future and the future is looking bright – quite literally look at that mas ISO!
