As I continue to add new features to the site I thought to myself what would be a great weekly featured topic?  How about a ZipRage // Man Of The Week category!

As if there weren’t already plenty of reasons for Johnny Depp to earn a “Man of the Week” nomination on any given week: he has a tropical island, a luxurious yacht, has Vanessa Paradis as a “domestic partner”, and makes millions of dollars every year starring in kick ass/totally insane and pirate movies. How much more could you ask for?

Hell, earlier this week I watched “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” on Netflix and Johnny Depp even managed to look the part of a total badass in an otherwise emotional story about an obese woman that can hardly leave her house and a son’s struggle being the stand in “father.”

However, this week Johnny Depp caught our attention for staring down a possibly psychotic mugger who was brandishing a broken beer bottle outside a Los Angeles recording studio! According to The Sun, Depp was leaving a recording studio with British singer Stephen Jones after laying down a guitar solo for an upcoming album.  A thug proceeded to approach the pair and haggle Jones for money. However, according to the newspaper, the vagrant backed off and put the bottle down after seeing he was with Depp, saying, “I ain’t stealing from Captain Jack.”

The situation could have easily turned into a complete shit storm, but Depp kept his cool, gave the guy a few bucks, and told him to “straighten up his life,” reports The Sun.

When potential muggers quiver in your mere presence, that will most definitely earn you a Man of the Week award.
