PENTAX worked with renowned designer Marc Newson on this K-01 hybrid digital camera.  The camera features a 16.28 megapixel CMOS sensor with an ISO range of 100 to 12800 (boosts to 25600), the K-01 combines a mirror-less design with DSLR versatility.  The camera will be available in black with a silver grip, silver with black grip, and the above black with yellow grip.  Drops March 2012.  Gallery below.

Bespoke Post’s “Box of Awesome” is a $45 subscription-based box of themed accoutrements ranging from whiskey tumblers to an aged t-bone. The Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip is constructed in suede using traditional means then paired to a Nike Luarlon sole.  A weird and downright awesome mash-up of fashion and sport.  Should make for one very comfortable dress shoe.  The shoe will be available in five colorways, the Cole Haan LunarGrand Wingtip retails for $248.  They’ll be available starting February 10th.  Unfortunately, you’ll only be able to find them in the Cole Haan SoHo flagship store in New York City.

Great food from an electric grill?  Weird yes, but Bob Grillson Wood Pellet Grill ($TBA) makes a convincing case.

The grill uses electricity to burn up wooden pellets, so you get that great smokey flavor without having to build a fire or wait for natural charcoal to get to heat. The grill also features a great ultra-modern design, an oiled bamboo tray for chop and prep, large wheels for portability, porcelain enameled cast-iron grates, electronic temperature control and an integrated food thermometer.

Sony’s Cyber-shot TX200V is not only one of the best looking pocket shooters I’ve seen, it also has it where it counts. Tsovet is happily celebrating the 145 wins of the Chip Ganassi Racing Team with a limited edition watch inspired by the team’s racing pedigree and signature colors.

The timepiece is limited to 51 pieces worldwide, is housed in a PVD gun metal case with a matte finish with red hits of color on the dial, pusher, and watch strap. Inside is a Valjoux 7750 movement which will power the watch for 42 hours and features day/date and chronograph functionality. It’s always been my dream that I could go from my bed, to the gym, to the office and back home without having to change my pants four times a day.  It seems I have arrived.  Betabrand’s drab gray dress pants are actually made from comfortable terry cloth, so it is possible to wear sweatpants to the office!

Apparently Dewalt decided it was finally time to jump into the hand-tool game. The DeWalt 5-In-1 Hacksaw ($25) features a reversible blade that offers up to 330 pounds of 90 degree slicing on one side and 45 degree flush cuts on the other, there is also a removable nose piece that lets it function as a low-profile hacksaw, a blade storage compartment holds a reciprocating saw blade, and the saw doubles as a pistol-grip jab saw for cutting drywall. Combine those features with Dewalt’s reputation and toughness and you’ve got a hand-tool lineup that’s sure to impress.

What game are you most looking forward to?

Simple doesn’t equal plain or boring. The Gauge wristwatch by Helson is definitely simple and it is most definitely striking to look at. The watch has a titanium case, a bronze bezel and a domed sapphire crystal. When it comes to menswear it’s usually best to keep things simple.  YOURS footwear Spring/Summer 12 designs are based off over-simplification and have a contemporary and aesthetic focus.

Detail is a great focus for us. It took a lot of sample runs and time wearing them to get the styles to where we wanted them. Shoes are all about fit and we’ve always been a fan of minimal shoes. With Yours, we’ve really tried to focus on quality, fit and aesthetics.

Fall 2012 menswear shows just wrapped up in Europe and there was some fantastically absurd looks on display.  Thom Browne and his odd blend of prep, punk, football, and fetish styles definitely takes the cake for being completely bizarre but there are other goodies for you to check out in the gallery below.
