Hot Chip‘s latest video for their track ‘I Feel Better‘ is completely insane, just watch it.  But, could it be?  A deeper meaning lurking in this insanity?

The video is directed by Peter Serafinowicz, the British guy who is the voice of Darth Maul!  So what was the guy thinking?  Here’s my guess:

The video starts off with a group of jackasses that look the part of the Backstreet Boy’s or NSYNC.  Their musical talent is lacking but that’s not what really matters in the music world.

Then about a minute into the video a bright, shining Albino President Obama/Jesus comes floating in.  He isn’t jacked, he isn’t wearing gay clothing and he looks like he may be cancer ridden.  But it turns out albino Obama can actually sing and he blows away the shitty boy band with his voice/blue laser.

Albino Jesus, however, falls into the boy band trap and becomes one of them.  Who will save us from boy band hell?  The floating head of some black guy.  The whole video is a statement about music trumping  .

One look at the pic of Hot Chip and you realize glamor isn’t part of their repertoire.
