The SRT Viper has only just recently started reaching customers, but Dodge already has a track ready version dubbed the SRT Viper TA. TA stands for “Time Attack” and it underscores this model’s performance credentials. The new Viper TA boasts a lower curb weight than the regular Viper and track-focused suspension, brakes and steering. The engine may remain unchanged, but the TA doesn’t seem to suffer as it will reach 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. The TA was faster at Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca than all previously tested European competitors as well as the car it replaces (Viper ACR). The previous version (ACR) also holds the Nurburgring record for a production vehicle with a time of 7:12. The TA should best that as well.
